The first day of the Presidents Cup starts with six matches of foursomes. Then the second day has six matches of four-ball, third day consisting of five morning matches of foursomes and five afternoon matches of four-ball. The final day consists of twelve single matches with the winner needing 17.5 points.

The Presidents Cup is held every two years, alternating the year with the Ryder Cup. It’s hosted alternately in the U.S. and then in countries representing the International Team. In 2011, it will be hosted in Victoria making it the second time Australia has hosted the game, the last time being in 1998 which saw the first and only time the international team won.
The Presidents Cup began in 1994 created and run by the PGA Tour – the organiser of the main men’s professional golf tour in the US – it was started to give the world’s best non-European players a chance to compete in an international team match-play competition.
The US dominate the Presidents Cup with six wins out of eight generally making the States the safer bet.
